Sodalite zeolite
Sodalite (Nas Cla 1 LAl Sic O2aJ-SOD) belongs to the cubic crystal system, the space group is P43n, and the unit cell parameter is a=8.870A, in which Na and CI- can be replaced. The composition of synthetic sodalite crystals is Nas [Al6 Si O2a]. The structure of sodalite can be described as a body-centered cubic arrangement of sodalite cages (sod or B cages) connected by single four- and six-membered rings. It is placed at the vertex position of the cube and connected with each other by sharing a 4-membered ring, so that a B cage is formed between the 8 β cages. The pore window of sodalite is only 6-membered ring, and the skeleton density is 17.2T/1000A. Strictly speaking, sodalite is not a molecular sieve, it only has limited adsorption capacity.
