ZSM-22 channel can inhibit the production of carbon deposition and has a strong shape selectivity for small molecule reactions. Due to its suitable pore structure and strong surface acidity, it can be used in catalytic cracking, hydrocracking, dewaxing, isomerization (such as paraffin isomerization and butylene skeleton isomerization), alkylation, dealkylation, hydrogenation, dehydrogenation, dehydration, cyclization and aromatization.

ZSM-22 has the topological skeleton of TON structure, which includes Five-membered rings, Six-membered rings and Ten-membered rings at the same time. The one-dimensional channel composed of Ten-membered rings is a parallel channel that is not cross-linked and the hole mouth is elliptic.
