Adsorption and separation of xylene by NAY zeolite
1) NaY molecular sieves with different SiO,/Al,O, molar ratios were synthesized by changing the silicon-aluminum ratio. NaY molecular sieves with SiO,/Al,O, molar ratios of 5.0 ~ 5.1 have a higher m-xylene separation coefficient.
2) The moisture content, operating temperature and cation type of NaY molecular sieve all have a significant impact on the separation coefficient and net retention volume of m-xylene. As the water content increases, the net retention volume and separation coefficient of m-xylene gradually decrease: when the operating temperature gradually increases from 145C to 177C, the m-xylene adsorption and separation performance of NaY molecular sieve decreases; when Li or Sr is introduced into NaY molecular sieve, The separation coefficient and net retention volume of m-xylene did not change much, but the introduction of K or Ba2 resulted in a significant decrease in the net retention volume and separation coefficient of m-xylene.
